Very little has been found out about Edgar. In the 1939 Register he is living with Arthur Clara Keen of Riverhill Cottage, Bramford. He was employed as a poultry killer.
He was born on 6th June 1916 – probably in the Hartismere Registration District (the area of Suffolk including Eye).
He married Winifred Doyle in Ipswich in 1941.
He died during the fighting in Singapore between the 14th and 15th of February 1942 and served alongside Clifford Green.
He is commemorated on the Singapore Memorial.

Whilst visiting Kranji War Memorial Singapore Mrs Jane Cantwell (nee Hayes) formally of Bramford Suffolk England ,paid her respects to the late Edgar Seeley identifying his name on Column 60 of the name panels of the Main memorial.
