Following the origins of the ‘Fisons’ Factory site from the early pioneering days of artificial fertilizer in Suffolk to the site as it is today.
Despite the uncertainty of the future of the site is there anyone wanting the site to reopen or be rebuilt to its former style and scale. I don’t imagine people being overly happy about a new housing estate nor a fertilizer factory being built nearby but I’ve not seen any developers buy the land since it was put for sale so perhaps plans could change.

Sincere apologies but we didn’t get a notification of your comment. It was only picked up while reviewing our website entries. We can’t imagine any rebuilding of what was there before. Approval for building about 170 houses and small commercial units was approved over 10 years ago but has now lapsed. As far as we are aware the site has not been sold.
The Time Line account is so helpful capturing the past.
